A surprising amount of wisdom from a children's book; parallels drawn between our world and the magical world of The Little Prince. It was a quick but deep read, which surprised me most. Perfect to read slowly and surely, one chapter at a time, night by night.

"A lighthouse is for others, powerless to illuminate the space closest to it." A stunning book that may or may not have left me with tears in my eyes once or twice. The imagery is incredible and will transport you to this isolated island off the coast of Australia where a solid lighthouse stands as a haven for the two main characters. A mystery and love story that will have you turning the pages underneath your covers until you finish it.

Recommended to me by an amazing friend who studied art history, reading this book was basically like watching an action film. Fun and adventurous stories of various valuable art pieces stolen and (maybe? no spoilers!) recovered by the founder of the FBI Art Crime Team Robert K. Wittman. The stories are quick and easy to read, and super entertaining! You'll put each chapter down with your mouth wide open thinking "I had no idea this was happening in our world!!" Save the art!! You also get an insider's look on how the FBI runs undercover operations, and also some fun trivia about different art relics.

(Warning: he has not finished the third book, so if you decide to read this one you will end up joining the club of tens of thousands of angry and impatient fans.) The story deepens as Kvothe travels across the lands, away from what he knows. New scenery and additional characters, but the same beautiful descriptive writing that entrances you.
